Preventing cyber attack and QWERTY passwords

Dear partners,

Urgent news: today we prevented the attempt of mass accounts hacking on PoshFriends!

The hackers had a database of users with their logins and passwords (probably from one of the gambling affiliate networks or forums). They entered them, hoping to find any intersections. Our security experts detected this attack from the very beginning and reset the password to everyone, whose accounts they tried to hack, so do not worry about security. Everything is under control! We write it to warn you about possible hacking on other affiliate programs.

If you have the same logins and passwords for two or more sites, CHANGE THEM! Here is a checklist that guarantees you minimal security:

1. For each affiliate network there should be have its own login and password. The password for the registration mail, affiliate and payment systems must also be different. In no case do not use the same combination for all sites, or even better - configure two-factor authentication wherever possible.

2. For passwords, use complex alphanumeric combinations, for example, with the password generator https://passwordsgenerator.net/. We did not think that we would have to talk about this to webmasters, but do not use the passwords "webmaster", "qwerty" or "123456"

3. Do not forward any letters with an autologin (for example, from an aff network or a casino) - another person will be able to log into your account.

4. Do not publish screenshots, where your login is shown, or if your forum login equals your aff network login.

5. Carefully review your payment details before the payout. We make an obligatory verification before changing payment info, but in many aff networks payment wallet can be changed directly from the profile –so keep careful.

Take care of yourself and your accounts!

Always yours,

PoshFriends Team
